This is a peace, like a fortress, that co-exists with tribulation and disturbance. The inner peace Jesus speaks of is not worldly comfort or happiness. It is a confident "rest" that believers gain when they set aside anxiety and stress and place full confidence in the victory of God.
Lava Rock, raw and primal, created by a volcanic eruption, is said to represent strength and courage.
Blue Lapis represents strength, courage and royalty and is mentioned many times in the bible. It was included in the description of God's throne, used in Aaron's breastplate, listed as the second stone in the wall of heaven and many scholars believe it was the stone that the ten commandments were written upon. It is used here to represent "the world".
