In this limited edition design, a circular olive branch forms a victor's crown surrounding a shining white stone. Chatoyancy is the gemmological name given to the curious optical effect in which a band of light is reflected in certain gemstones, creating an appearance similar to light bouncing off a cat's eye. This illusion of a light within the stone represents the light of Jesus. Our victory!
Jesus' words here in Revelation say He has a white stone with a new name written on it for every believer who overcomes and is victorious. The Greek word used here is 'Leukos'- "brilliant from whiteness, (dazzling) white” and some scholars believe it is possible that this stone shines brightly from within ie a glowing stone. The shining white stone is to be prized as a victor’s reward!
The Olive Branch/Laurel Leaf Crown:
Olive and laurel leaf wreaths are referenced in the bible as victor's crowns and the crown of life is referred to in James 1:12 & Revelation 2:10; it is bestowed upon "those who persevere under trials." So it was fitting to surround this shining white stone with a victor's crown in this special limited edition earring design.
